Cosmetic Repositioning

Mostly the misalignment of teeth and gums can be corrected by wearing braces for a period of time, most people want faster and quicker results. With the introduction of invisalign braces, the number of people using the traditional wired metal braces is diminishing fast. Invisalign is also basically a brace, except it is virtually invisible due to the absence of metal wires or brackets as in conventional ones. It uses a series of custom made aligners which align your teeth position in about a year. Since these are removable and adjustable, does not cause any inconvenience to daily activities like eating, brushing, etc. However the aligners are to be changed every 2 weeks.

But what if you don’t want to wear any kind of braces at all? Then the alternative is to use a repositioning orthodontic retainer to correct the problem and improve the alignment or use a porcelain veneer followed by teeth whitening to give them a natural feel.

Porcelain veneers are thin shells used to cover the front surface of the teeth. Quite unlike bonding, which sometimes appear to be bulky or fake, porcelain veneers look natural and lasts for years. These are permanent restorations and after they are cemented to their places, they act just the same way as normal teeth do and pose no problems to your daily activities at all.
